Purple Hair

I was really excited when I found a purple wig for under $10 on amazon. Purple is one of those colors that normal hair can't naturally be, so of course I had to try it.

I paired this wig with gunne sax dress I purchased a long time ago from Etsy and then tie dyed. The last time I wore this dress was in college, and it was considerably looser. Also, the last time I wore it I forgot to wear a slip and I noticed in the bathroom you could see right through it and everyone all day knew exactly what color underwear I was wearing. I spent the rest of the day holding my bag behind me and walking really really slowly.

I think I am addicted to changing my hair color with wigs now. My only regret is that I didn't get into this sooner. It's so fun to change my style without completely destroying my natural hair. Because I also like my natural hair. But sometimes I just really want purple hair. Or pink. Or blue. Totally normal feelings, right? You get them too, right? Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I still think the pink wig is my favorite, but purple, I like you too.

I'm linking up all week with Delirious Rhapsody and Modest Momma for Sprummer Fashion week! What are you wearing this summer? Come link up!

I am very pro-purple hair, of course! :P I'm also pro-slips--they may be old fashioned, but they're effective.

Love the purple on you! I have a purple wig from Halloween last year and I wish it wasn't so heavy because I'd wear it far more often.

I think this looks great! And looser? I was thinking, "wow, she looks so fit!"

I totally get the hair colors, and not wanting to destroy your hair ;)

I wish I could see the print better on that awesome prairie dress- I love the lace detail on the collar/top!

I've never worn a wig before- but I just may have to try it now!

i think my favorite wigs are the purple and the red on you. and i love the idea of being able to change up your color so often without doing any damage to your 'real
hair.

I keep dying chunks of my hair deep pink. I like it. I wore wigs SO much for dance (competitive Irish dancing until I graduated high school) that I am so not interested in wearing them now. However, super-cute on you!

I like that dress, too. Did you shorten it, or was it always that length? I like Gunne Sax, but the full-length ones I usually see are so very period that I can't see myself wearing them as anything but costume. Yours is cute, though, and a good length that keeps it current.

With all these hair color "changes"...I think you should put a pink streak in your hair. Even if it's temporary. For fun!! Not everyone can pull off unnatural colored hair (ahem, ME) so if you can - go for it! :)

Think we need a post with one of each (: The short pink one is so cute in your profile picture, but I'm struggling to remember the others.
Stay fun! Love this purple wig, you pull it off perfectly!

I love this sweet dress! And believe it or not, I was actually just thinking about how I've wanted a pink or purple streak in the back of my hair for a few years now!

Thanks! Irish dancing looks so fun, but also tedious! We had an irish dancer in one of our marching band shows in college once! So much jumping (although I'm sure there is better term for that...)

I didn't shorten the dress! You are right, most of the Sax dresses are long. I just got lucky finding a short on one I suppose :) The blue colors were all faded so thats why I tie-dyed it.

thanks! Your comment made my day :)

Oh, I definitely get those desires too! Right now, I'm debating whether or not to dye my hair black. I dyed it black 9 years ago, and swore up and down I'd never do it again, but that was 9 years ago... Wigs are a great alternative!
