Doodling at Work

Most of the art I do now consists of things that I complete at work.

These two doodles were fun to sketch between calls. Any anime I draw invariably reminds me of my friend Gwen, whose knack at drawing japanese-style creatures always leaves me aware of my meager skills. Gwen, you are amazing!

Knitted Cuffs

Remember the cute green hat I made? I decided to knit up some cozy cuffs to match.

These cuffs are the perfect fall item...I think I may make some more; I really would love a rainbow pair!

Braids

I've been experimenting with some new hairstyles lately and I am really enjoying braids.

To get this look, I did a side part and then just braided three small plaints together. Really easy and fun to do, and when you take it out the next day its super curly!

Experimentation

Last week I attempted to use a mixture of blue and green dye to tie dye some shirts.

The color turned steel gray! I was expecting a teal color...

I will have to research how to use dye correctly :) Anyone have any tips?

Verse of the day:

Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

This verse is the cry of my heart. I am seeking after God yet sometimes he feels so far...I have so many doubts and so many human desires, and yet I yearn to throw them all off and run after God, but so many things hold me back.
