I live in Greenville, where Bob Jones is stationed. I have to say I would never consider going there, even as a Christian because of their views on things such as rape, gay marriage, women as pastors, the roles of women and men, and dating. I also cover my hair for spiritual reasons and could get EXPELLED for putting a scarf on my head. But I realize that very FEW christian colleges are like that and would never turn away from all of them because of Bob Jones. (sorry for the rant...)Krissanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7545545571343273883.post-33094603161234568392013-06-05T10:11:01.167-04:002013-06-05T10:11:01.167-04:00I'm really sorry that this happened to you. It's a case of judging the whole by the actions of the very vocal few.

I've been reading your blog for a while now, and I can tell that you are a wonderful person!Daneene 'Meari' Kelleynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7545545571343273883.post-4871491655566017052013-06-05T08:43:33.864-04:002013-06-05T08:43:33.864-04:00That's crazy that people assume you didn't...That's crazy that people assume you didn't get a "real" education because you went to a Christian college! I guess everyone has stereotypical thinking about one thing or another. It was sort of like that when I applied to the community college. When my advisor saw my placement test scores and found out that I was homeschooled, she couldn't believe it. And I was like, is the "unintelligent homeschooler" stereotype really still in existence?? Apparently so. :)Kristinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7545545571343273883.post-48167924418539958732013-06-05T07:07:09.987-04:002013-06-05T07:07:09.987-04:00I also went to a Christian college, but I've n...I also went to a Christian college, but I've never yet experienced any backlash from that. Of course, my college is rather well-known in our area as having an extremely high standard of academics and well-respected programs. There are even non-Christian students who attend there for the academics and the professors that we have. I'm quite proud of my college. And when Angel tries to get a nursing job in our area, people's first impression is that he must be good at what he does because they know our college has an excellent nursing program. I think it's a good thing that you appreciate your college!Rachel Gnoreply@blogger.com
